Keith chaired the meeting. There was one item on the agenda.

 

54/06  To approve the proposals for Phase 2b of the hall project.

 

Keith said the funding has now been promised, so we can go ahead with the next phase as explained at the meeting on 28th November (37/06). This will involve replacing the roof and remodelling the front of the building. Jo reported that the reduced VAT only applies to places of worship, so would not apply to the hall. There are sufficient funds to cover the VAT. Keith confirmed that the hall would be available for use during this phase but the loft must be emptied.

 

“The PCC agrees to proceed to signature of contracts with Wren, the grant of £50,000 and with APEX, at a cost of £130,000, for building to start as soon as possible on Stage 2b.”
