The Friday evening club takes place every Friday evening during school term time. The club is run from 6.45 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is attended by children aged 4 to 9 years old. On average 20 children attend the club each Friday evening and we have approximately 40 children registered with the club. During the evening the children participate in organised games such as dodge ball, ladders, skipping, football and hockey and a tuck shop is provided. A summer party and Christmas party are also organised for the children.
Up until Christmas 2006 the club was run by Jim and Rebecca Pickering and Dean and Jayne Humphreys however due to family and work commitments all have resigned their leadership. Arrangements are now being made to restart the club on Friday 27 April 2007 under the new leadership of Derek May and Jane Slater with the assistance of parents and other members of our congregation.
