Members of the bereavement Group continue to meet bimonthly in the Church. The meeting begins with a celebration of the Eucharist followed by a business meeting. Bereaved families are visited by one of the members and given a copy of the Church Magazine containing the name of their loved one. Copies of the magazine and a letter are sent to families that are not local.
The group took responsibility for running the All Souls Service in November 2006 which was followed by refreshments in the Parish Hall. This service was well attended and much appreciated by the families who came along.
In conjunction with the Mothers Union we are planning to set up an afternoon meeting for the bereaved in the near future. Families will be invited to come along for a cup of tea and to meet up with members of the clergy and the bereavement group.
